Attention: Registration Needs to be Complete for Online Learners

As campus personnel are trying to navigate the “new normal” we are asking for your help and cooperation with a time-sensitive matter.

Campus personnel have received emails from parents indicating their desire to utilize the online at-home learning option through White Oak ISD, but have not completed the registration process. Your child will not be listed on a class roll until this has been completed. Remember, even if your child attended White Oak ISD last year, you must still register each year.

Go to http://www.woisd.net and click on the Skyward link on the website homepage to access the login page for Skyward Family Access.

Also, please note ANY NEW OR RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION for families who cannot complete the process online is Monday, July 27 through Thursday, July 30 in the Secondary Cafeteria from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Computers will be provided to assist in the completion of all forms.

We are working hard to make plans to accommodate families utilizing the online platform so we ask that you kindly help us in this process.

Registration Reminders

Please note that if you have emailed your child’s principal to let them know you are choosing the online at-home learning option, you still need to complete registration online.

Go to http://www.woisd.net and click on the Skyward link on the website homepage to access the login page for Skyward Family Access.

Also, please note ANY NEW OR RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION for families who cannot complete the process online is Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31 in the Secondary Cafeteria from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Computers will be provided to assist in the completion of all forms.

Due to COVID-19 and the mandated restrictions on large group gatherings, the White Oak Boys and Girls Club will not be held for at least the first 9 weeks of school. We will release more information about if and when it will start as it is given to us. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your support and understanding during this time. Thank you.

School Closure Update Information

March 25, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Due to the mandatory shelter in place that has been issued beginning tomorrow evening, Thursday, March 26th through Thursday, April 9th, we have prepared new learning packets that have been added to the pick-up areas. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade packets are available for pick up underneath the covered sidewalk at the main entrance beginning tonight, March 25th after 7:00 pm.

Teachers have also provided links to educational resources on their blogs, but in case you do not have internet access or your student does not have a device, the work packets are an option. Please feel free to use the packets and available online resources at your discretion.

We still miss our students terribly, but our hope is that everyone stays healthy in the coming days. As this situation evolves we will keep you updated on a prospective return. We will remain Roughneck strong!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Rock
Principal
