I was confronted with an incident over the Christmas break that reinforced to me the importance of staying diligent when it comes to technology use and our children. Some of my grandchildren were staying with me during the holiday (I have 11 grandchildren with one on the way!) The oldest two cousins are 8 year old boys and the next two cousins are 6 year old girls. They were all on devices playing Minecraft. The girls came in to report that the boys had downloaded Add-ons that may not have been appropriate. We had to have a conversation about how we should follow the guidelines set up by our parents, even when they are not around. Common Sense has a great resource to use in cases just like this! Click on the image below to access the agreement. I will definitely be using this with my grandkids.
It’s the beginning of a new year and a month to celebrate these birthdays.

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS DEC. 23 – Jan 6
RETURN TO SCHOOL ON JANUARY 7
Students’ last day will be December 20th. The Christmas Break will run through January 6th. We will see you again on Tuesday, January 7th!
The third grade class has requested that we let the community know that today, December 16th, marks the end of the 3rd grade candy bag sale. NO More orders will be taken at this time. Thank you to all who chose to participate.
Let’s have some fun this last week before Christmas break. Teachers and students are invited to take part in some special Christmas attire.
- Monday – Don that Christmas hat.
- Tuesday – Wear your Pajamas to school. What???
- Wednesday – Put your feet into the spirit with some Christmas socks.
- Thursday – Wear your favorite Christmas shirt or Christmas colors.
- Friday – Come ready to celebrate with your friends at your class party.
You do not have to participate. This is only to bring a little Christmas cheer into our building. We can’t wait to see what walks through the door next week.
