5th Grade Social Studies Succeeds in Top Secret Mission

Mrs. McFall’s fifth-grade social studies classes were given a Top Secret Mission today. The mission was carried out in the manner with which the popular “Escape Room” trend is currently sweeping the country. Students were given a historical scenario and supplied with four clues to solve as a cooperative group. Students worked together to solve each clue, bringing them closer to the escape. All students were highly engaged and did not want the activity to end.

Kudos to fifth grade and to those who escaped by solving the mission ahead of the others.

Cash for My Class

White Oak Intermediate has partnered with our local Brookshire’s Food to participate in the “Cash for my Class” program. This is an easy way where our campus can earn money by simply shopping at Brookshire’s, Super 1 Foods, and Fresh. Just have your tag, “Cash for my Class” scanned at checkout.

Brookshire’s will earmark 1% of qualifying purchases to donate to our school. Letters will be coming home with your student, along with one scan tag. Should you need another tag for your household, please stop by the intermediate office. We have just a few extra we would be glad to give away until they are all gone.

Thank you for supporting our local businesses and our schools.
