Day 2

Mrs. Rock’s response to this!

Dear Students and Teachers,

I must admit that I was pretty upset yesterday when Charlie drank my coffee down to the last drop.  Many of you have seen me drinking my coffee in the mornings, so that’s pretty important to me.  I wasn’t going to let Charlie get the best of me today, so I began drinking my coffee on the way to work, determined that he wouldn’t get me again.
As I walked into my office this morning I was quite pleased to see the mess Charlie left had been cleaned up, but I was concerned because I didn’t see him.  But still, I was thinking today would be a good day.  After all, he knew I was pretty upset with him yesterday.
I was the first one from the front office here this morning so I began turning on the lights down the hallway and making sure everything looked like it should.  I was shocked when I got down to the faculty restroom. Charlie was using our toilet and he didn’t flush!  Does this young man not have any manners!?  I mean, really.  That is so disgusting.  I began yelling at him and told him he better get it flushed and quick!
Knowing how mischievous he is, I began to roam the building and check a few other restrooms.  To my dismay he “hit” those bathrooms too!  If you were one of the unfortunate ones that had to look into the toilet today and see that Charlie didn’t flush, I greatly apologize for his actions.  I’m most disappointed in him today.  I mean, it’s one thing to get me.  I’m a big girl and I can handle it, but to mess with my students and co-workers, he has crossed the line!
I have got to find a way to send him back to the North Pole and quick!

Day 1

Dear All,

This is critical!  Please share this message with your students today!  I’m so upset right now I can hardly compose this email.  Just imagine my dismay when I walked into my office and see the trash can and chairs turned over.  And if that wasn’t enough, my coffee had been drank down to the last drop!  Apparently Santa has decided that Charlie the elf needed to visit our school to see who’s been naughty or nice.  Does Santa not know that we have the best students and staff around?  If Santa was going to send us an elf, WHY could he not send a NICE one?!
I will do my best to convince Charlie there are more students on the primary campus he might want to watch over.  We shall see.  In the meantime, Charlie and I need to have a little conversation about cleaning my office.  In other words, he better have it cleaned up pretty quick or I may have to resort to my paddle!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Rock

Charlie

4th Writing and 5th Math & Reading Benchmarks

Spring Benchmarks for fourth grade writing and fifth grade math and reading have been scheduled for the week of February 11 – 15. Benchmarks will be structured as closely to STAAR testing as possible in order to give our students an opportunity to experience a simulated testing environment equal to the rigor of state assessment dates. This will help students to be more successful in time management and give teachers an opportunity to observe and make any needed changes before the April assessments. Our students have worked hard this year, and we are proud of the progress of they have made.
