DO-OVER MONDAY: Dress Like a StoryBook Character

Great News!!
We have rescheduled our Storybook Character Dress Up Day for Monday, November 1st. This is not a party day but students will celebrate reading and books by dressing up as a favorite book character. Students will be allowed to wear “dress code appropriate” costumes to school. Students ARE NOT permitted to wear face or hair paint, blood or gore on costumes, or have scary masks and props. We want this to be a fun day for students, but we must keep it safe and appropriate for our youngest students.

Power Outage Update – No School Tomorrow for Primary and Intermediate Campus

We have been in constant contact with SWEPCO regarding the power outage at the Primary/Intermediate. Although they have been working diligently, power has still not been restored. They are not able to guarantee that it will be restored prior to bus times in the morning. Therefore, we will be canceling school tomorrow, Friday, October 29, on the Primary & Intermediate campus. (MS and HS will have class as normal). We want to do this now so that parents/guardians have an opportunity to make arrangements. We apologize for this late notice but this is our only option at this time. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Mr. Gray
White Oak ISD

White Oak ISD has been in close communication with Swepco during this power outage. They are not able to guarantee that power will be restored by the start of school tomorrow for the PRIMARY AND INTERMEDIATE campuses only. Therefore, these two campuses will NOT have school tomorrow. Please share this information with all who need to make arrangements for their children.

Our First Annual Family Reading Night was a great success! Thank you to all of the parents and students who participated. Thank you to all of our principals, teachers, and parent volunteers who helped to make this night special, and a very special Shelby Skeen, our elementary librarian, who put so much work into making this a night to remember.
