It is essential that students read during the summer months to keep up with the rigorous reading demands in school. Why not make it fun and social while continuing to read and learn?

The intent of this camp is to immerse students in high-interest literature and to develop an enjoyment and a love for reading. This camp will consist of discussions and book talks rather than written work. Students will read novels, poetry, choral reading, reader’s theater, vocabulary games, and participate in the Read Live program to develop fluency and vocabulary.

Camp Facilitators are Rhonda Bybel and Lisa Pullen. The camp is for students entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grades and will take place at the White Oak Intermediate School from 10:00 – 12:00. Dates are 6/19-6/22, 6/26-6/29, 7/24-7/27
