The torrential rains did not delay the regional competition for our band today. They traveled to Carthage where they are still competing for a regional title. Their performance this morning has earned them a place in the final competition along with nine other bands. Our wet and exhausted, young men and women will perform last tonight at 10:45 p. m. Their dedication to advance to the next level is admirable. Their leadership is impeccable. Please be thinking of them as they march at this late hour tonight in Carthage representing the tradition of White Oak School and as they travel home in unfavorable conditions. We believe!
