BIG Duck Drawing – BIG Surprise Guest!

The Kahuna Cookie Dough Fundraiser officially ended today. Students were to have turned in their orders and money Wednesday, November 5th. Each morning, Mrs. Rock has been drawing two names and giving away small ducks to students who have been selling and depositing their tickets into the big green bucket. All of this has been building up to the BIG EVENT this Friday afternoon. This Friday, November 7th, all students will report to the elementary gym at 3:00 for the Big Duck Drawing. You do NOT want to miss this!

EARLY RELEASE -Elementary Campuses ONLY

BOTH Primary and Intermediate Campuses will have an early release on Tuesday,November 11th. All PreK through 5th grades grades will dismiss at 11:00 a.m. Teachers will use this afternoon to schedule any needed parent conferences. Other campuses WILL follow regular scheduled release times.

PLEASE NOTE: Primary and Intermediate parents may be in ONE PICKUP line intermingled on this particular day – no need for primary to be first, followed by intermediate.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Our annual food drive will begin Monday, November 3 and end on Friday, November 7. Much needed food items are canned meats, canned fruit and vegetables, canned soup with meat, dried spaghetti and sauce, ravioli, boxed dinners, oatmeal and cereal.
The Intermediate students will put their cans in the hallway as you enter the intermediate school just outside the intermediate office.  Please place them in the box or boxes with the corresponding grade level.
Teachers do not need to keep up with the number of cans each classroom brings.  Cans will count by grade level.
Encourage the students to bring one food item.  If every student brings just one, we will have more than 600 food items to donate! We will have representatives from the White Oak Temporary Assistance Program (TAP) here on Monday, November 10th, to accept our donation.

Fundraiser Packets Due Wednesday!

There are only THREE MORE DAYS for the White Oak Intermediate Cookie Dough Fundraiser. Completed order forms and money should be returned on Wednesday, November 5th.  Parents, please check to make sure that the total of the orders matches the total amount of money returned. Mismatched orders and money may result in orders not being placed. This is very important.

Good luck to each of our students and a big thank you to each of our parents! Make this a profitable week for your school.

Invitation to Our Veterans

We would like to invite the community to join in with us as we celebrate Veteran’s Day and honor all of our veterans this Friday night at Roughneck Stadium when the White Oak Roughnecks play the Jefferson Bulldogs. All current military and all veterans will receive the United States Flag lapel pin entitling them to a free cup of coffee or hot chocolate-any time during the game. We also ask that those honored individuals make their way to the south end of the football field at 6:50 so we can have all Roughneck and Bulldog military walk out on the field together and honor them and the American flag. We hope to see you there to show you support for their invaluable service.
